  • It operates entirely locally within your browser, accessing content only in the active Chartink webpage to read stock symbol data for conversion purposes.

Permissions

  • activeTab: To read stock symbols from the current Chartink page to enable symbol extraction and conversion.
  • scripting: To inject scripts in the Chartink webpage for dynamic extraction and formatting of symbols.
  • host permissions (limited to https://chartink.com/*): To restrict operation solely to Chartink pages.

Use of User Data

  • The Extension uses scraped webpage content only to fulfill its core functionality: converting and formatting stock symbols for TradingView.
  • No personal communications, health, financial, authentication, or web history data is accessed or stored.
  • The Extension does not sell, share, or transfer user data with external parties.

Remote Code and Security

  • The Extension does not execute remote code. All code is bundled within the Extension and runs locally on the user’s machine.
  • User data is handled securely and respects user privacy and Chrome Web Store policies.

User Control and Transparency

  • The Extension clearly informs users about its permissions and data use during installation.
  • It provides clear functionality related directly to the scraping and conversion task with no hidden features or unrelated data collection.
  • Users can review and revoke permissions via the Chrome browser at any time.
